Van Gogh’s painting Bedroom in Arles, Version 2 was painted in September 1889 as “répetition”, due to the fact that the first version was damaged after some flooding on the Rhône. Vincent’s brother Theo sent the painting back to Arles, where Vincent van Gogh stood at hospital in order to copy the first version.
